These are informal meetings held at members' homes to learn
orchid cultural and answer questions about orchid care. It is long
established members are welcome. This mixed experience level
gives the novice many opinions, advice that may work in their
growing area. It, also, allows new members to meet and get to
know the more experienced members of the society.

| CULTURAL STUDY GROUP, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17thCSG for Septembe r . . . change of plans . . . NO NORITO, NO MEETING |
Due to the great loss to the orchid community of Frank Fordyce, originator of the mini-catt breeding and
longtime orchid expert, Norito, who has been asked to speak at Mr. Fordyce’s memorial service on
Saturday,
September 17, will not be in Pittsburgh until Sunday for our regular monthly Sunday meeting at the
Garden Center.
So the CSG will be on hiatus until after our Orchid Show in the spring, when it may continue. Thanks to
all those who spoke and hosted and attended and shared with the great group of OSWPers.
