We are having a heat wave, nice time to think about the cool sunny days of October. Plans for the Fall Festival
are in full swing. If you have not yet signed up to work, please do so by contacting the chairpersons listed in this
article.
Carol Panza is scheduling the vendors and Chuck is scheduling their brief but informative seminars. Bill
Kalupanov has completed the design and printing of the posters and bookmarkers.  These will be available at
the September meeting. Since their quantities are limited, please take just a few and place them where OSWP
will deliver the most punch!!

Frannie Rice is the raffle chairperson; she will have a clipboard at the September meeting, so please sign up to
work. Margie Cohen (412-563-0932) is in charge of publicity. She will be contacting many of our small regional
newspapers.  Please offer her assistance such as the name of your community’s newspaper and any tip that
would guarantee that the paper
would publish an article regarding the Fall Festival. We need to get the word out about this October orchid
event.

We will be arranging a small display of orchids on the stage.  More details about this will be in the October
newsletter. If you would like to be the chairperson or help with the display please contact Virginia Mortimer.

Cookies and coffee will be our only refreshments. Any cookie donation will be greatly appreciated.  Bob Jenkner
is the chairperson for the set-up and clean-up committee, and Don Bell is the chairperson for hospitality, they
will both need your help, so be sure to sign up at the September meeting when the clipboards come around.

OSWP needs your support for the fall orchid festival. Please
talk it up with your friends and neighbors.
