P-OSI KICK-OFF Work for May . . . Let Them Eat Breakfast
(Phipps-Orchid Society Initiative)
As our Orchid Tribe Teams take shape, we would like to invite more members interested in
increasing their orchid knowledge and willing to work and research to join our P-OSI teams.

The teams which need a few more members are:
Epidendreae (catts and friends)
Dendrobiae (dendrobiums)
Oncidiae (oncidiums and friends)
Miniatures (little things)
Miscellaneous (none of the above)

Please call (412-630-8293) or email Demetria Marsh (
demetmarsh@verizon.net) to sign up.

All P-OSI teammates are invited to a kick off breakfast on Saturday May 21st at 9:30AM at Phipps
Conservatory.

We’ll provide breakfast goodies and beverages as we discuss doing the inventory, meet your
teammates and the project as a whole and work out scheduling etc.  Please bring your
CALENDARS.

If a few teams are ready to begin their inventory that day, they can get started as well.  We assume
for the larger tribes, inventories may take several visits.

Also you will be welcome to visit the Conservatory and Gardens as well.
PLEASE REMEMBER,
when you park in the middle of the road around the statue,
PLACE A SIGN ON YOUR DASHBOARD
BY THE STEERING WHEEL THAT SAYS:  ORCHID SOCIETY VOLUNTEER IN PHIPPS
to avoid
getting ticketed.

If you are attending the breakfast, please
RSVP to Demetria before TUESDAY, MAY 17th.

Looking forward to starting this amazing project for the benefit of ourselves, the OSWP, Phipps and
the City of Pittsburgh (when we achieve our goals!).

Thanks very much,
Nancy Kline and Demetria Marsh
