•  Sunday September 16, 2007 – Russ Vernon of New Vision Orchids in Yorktown, Indiana will speak on
Odontoglossums. Russ and Anita Martin are the proprietors of New Vision Orchids and specialize in growing
and hybridizing Phalaenopsis and Odontoglossums.

•  October 13,14 2007 – OSWP Fall Orchid Festival at the Phipps Garden Center.

•  Sunday November 18, 2007 – Jim Marlow owner of Marlows Orchids in Scottsville, NY (marlowsorchids.com)
will speak on Cymbidiums.

•  December 9, 2007 – OSWP Christmas Holiday Meeting

•  Sunday January 20, 2008 – Edgar Stehli owner of Windswept Orchids in Time in Broadview Heights, Ohio
will speak on  Bulbophyllums and Cirrhopetalums (tentative topic).

•  Sunday February 17, 2008 – Ernie Gerneinhart from Enlightened Orchids (enlightenedorchids.com) in
Aurora, IL and Pete Stumm of High-Tech Garden Supply (
hightechgarden.com) in Cranberry Twp will present a
program on growing orchids under lights.  Pete will summarize some important technical aspects of fluorescent
and high tech lighting systems used in horticultural applications and Ernie will review his studies of compact and
miniature orchids that can be grown under lights and in a windowsill culture setup.

•  March 15,16 2008 – OSWP Spring Show, Phipps Garden Center

•  Sunday April 13, 2008-Glen Decker of Piping Rock Orchids (pipingrockorchids.com) in Galway, NY.  Glen’s
lecture will include an update on the newest phragmipedium orchid species found in nature (phragmipedium
kovachii) and its exciting hybrids

•  Sunday May 11, 2008 -Mario Ferrusi of Marsh Hollow Orchids in Fenwick, ON Canada will speak on “Mario's
Orchids A to Z.” (Note this is the Second Sunday in May;  the third weekend at the Garden Center is reserved
for the annual May Market.)


•  Sunday June 22  - Fred Clarke grower and hybridizer of quality orchids from Sunset Valley Orchids in Vista,
CA (
sunsetvalleyorchids.com) will present a talk on “Cycnoches, Mormodes, Catasetums recent trends.  His
presentation will include amazing pictures and the making of Fredclarkeara After Dark ‘the blackest orchid
seen’.

• Sunday, September 21-Alex Challis, New World Orchids.  Orchids & Orchid Shows of Japan
