OSWP Annual Summer Picnic

The OSWP Annual Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ohio Township Community Park Nature Center. This is the same location as last year.

While the facility has a small kitchen, we are keeping on-site cooking to a minimum. OSWP will provide cold drinks. We had more than enough excellent potluck dishes last year, and the hot dogs did not work out particularly well, so we will not be providing them this year. Instead, we will rely on the wonderful dishes contributed by our members.

To ensure a well-rounded meal, we will need a variety of foods, including:

• Main Dishes

• Appetizers

• Hot Side Dishes

• Salads

• Fruits

• Desserts

Please identify any common allergens in your dish, such as gluten, dairy, nuts, eggs, or shellfish, so attendees can make informed choices.

There will be a raffle, member orchid sales, and Show & Tell, but the primary focus of the event is socializing and enjoying time together. A brief business meeting will be held between the meal and dessert. If you have orchids in bloom, please consider bringing them to help decorate the tables.

Important Information About Alcohol and Pets

In accordance with our contract with Ohio Township and restrictions in our liability insurance coverage, alcohol is not permitted at this event. OSWP may not serve alcohol, and attendees may not bring alcoholic beverages to the picnic. Also, Ohio Township does not permit pets in the park. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
